‘Game of Thrones’ almost gave Mike Pence a battle-scene shoutout

“Game of Thrones” gave Vice President Mike Pence an unexpected shoutout in the bloodsoaked Battle of Winterfell episode.

D.B. Weiss, the co-creator of the HBO series, divulged the unlikely mention from actor Jacob Anderson, who plays Grey Worm, in Sunday night’s installment.

“Halfway through, [director Miguel Sapochnik] starts yelling at Jacob to improvise something in Valyrian,” Weiss said during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Thursday night. “Jacob was so tired and delirious and so out of it, all he could think to yell was, ‘Mike Pence! Mike Pence! Mike Pence!’”

The showrunner said Anderson was exhausted from shooting 55 straight nights for the epic nighttime scene.

But any actual mention of Pence was scrubbed from the final cut.

“In one of those scenes when Jacob is yelling and pointing, whatever he said was dubbed over,” said Weiss.
