Meghan Markle’s estranged father wants to meet her son Archie

Meghan Markle‘s estranged father Thomas Markle still hopes to be part of his daughter’s royal life, which now includes her 3-month-old son Archie with husband Prince Harry, 34.

“Of course I’m disappointed not to see Archie. I had hoped becoming a mother would mellow Meghan and she would reach out,” Thomas said in a recent interview with the Mail on Sunday.

The former Hollywood lighting director, 75, who spoke out in July after not being invited to Archie’s christening, also claimed Meghan and Harry’s staff has frozen him out.

“There was never any problem between Meghan and me until recently. I’ve stayed quiet because Meghan was pregnant with Archie but I’m speaking out now because they and their PR people are continuing to ghost me out of her life,” he said.

Thomas’ relationship with Meghan, 38, has been fractured since last year’s royal wedding. Thomas skipped the lavish event amid fallout from a staged photo scandal. Samantha Markle, Meghan’s half-sister, later claimed responsibility.

“Sometimes I get the feeling people think I don’t love my daughter. I do love her very much. I would love nothing more than to put a picture of Archie in a frame and place it beside the one of Meghan,” Thomas said, also noting he would like to see if his grandson “got the famous Markle nose.”

As for what the future holds, Thomas dreams of reuniting with Meghan and her new family one day.

“I believe all family differences can be resolved and I believe that can still happen for me, Meghan and Harry,” he shared.
